WWE Live show results
July 6, 2014
Kingston, Ont., Canada
The venue was about half-full, with many floor seats (and a few first row) empty.
(1) Sin Cara & un Matador & El Torito beat Titus O'Neil & Heath Slater & Hornswoggle in a six-man tag match. The first match was a pretty straight forward comedy match. Decent energy and some good crowd interaction as they tried to get the crowd fired up. It looked like Titus took a botched corner spot towards the end that looked quite brutal.
(2) Bo Dallas beat Tyson Kidd. Bo got a good response with a mix of boos and cheers, and cut a decent promo introducing his Canadian opponent that was hard to hear over the terrible PA system. Bo got some good heat with his antics early on, and Tyson got some good cheers with a teased Sharpshooter before Bo finished him off. Good match with Bo looking strong and pretty brutal with a follow-up beating after the bell.
(3) Adam Rose beat Xavier Woods. Xavier came out to crickets, while Adam Rose got a good pop with his five Rosebuds. These two couldn't seem to click, with a few awkward spots and some off timing here and there.
(4) Dean Ambrose beat Seth Rollins via DQ. The Match of the Night was next. Rollins came out to a ton of heat and "you sold out" chants. He played to the crowd with his briefcase and had some good fan interaction. Ambrose came out to the pop of the night thus far and they got to it. Some good brawling outside of the ring and Rollins did well in the cowardly heel role. The crowd really got into the match with a dueling "Let's Go Ambrose" and "Let's Go Seth" chant. Good ending sequence with Rollins using a distraction to grab his case, attack Ambrose, and get DQ'd. Great match.
[Intermission]
(5) Naomi & Cameron beat Summer Rae & Rosa Mendes. Not much to say except Cameron worked really hard to get the crowd into the match and support Naomi before furthering their storyline and walking out on her.
(6) Big E. beat Damien Sandow. Sandow cut a good promo that you could hardly hear with the bad sound system; he got some good heat by insulting Canadians. Next, Big E. came out to little reaction. Big E. won with the Big Ending after being carried by Sandow. It's a shame that Sandow is being wasted on TV when he is clearly such a talented performer.
The Main Event was up next with Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio.
(7) U.S. champion Sheamus beat Alberto Del Rio in a Last Man Standing match. Sheamus came out to good pop sporting many red welts on his back from the previous night's LMS match. Early in the match ,it looked like Del Rio hurt his left arm or hand and carried it in an odd way for the majority of the match. Pretty brutal match with lots of kendo stick work by Del Rio. A few "we want tables" chants and by far the biggest pop of the night when Sheamus pulled a table out from under the ring. Decent ending sequence and Sheamus sent the crowd home happy by putting Del Rio through the table and followed with a Brogue Kick for good measure.
Overall, good show with a decent crowd for the size of it. Some fans were vocally disappointed by the lack of previously advertised stars (Daniel Bryan, Kane, Big Show) and a small group of people were escorted out of the building for throwing things in the ring during the main event.
