New Japan Pro Wrestling announced today that they would be working with Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling promotion. That partnership would allow Jarrett access to a lot of top international performers and potentially a place for Jarrett to send talents that he eventually signs to tour in Japan.
What is most interesting here is that Ring of Honor has been cultivating a relationship with New Japan in recent months, having hosted the promotion for two great shows. The NJPW-ROH relationship, at least for now, is continuing, as New Japan announced that ROH champion Adam Cole, ROH Tag Team champions ReDragon, Michael Bennett and Maria Kanellis would be working the promotion's Seibu Dome event in August that closes out their G-1 Climax tournament. It stands to reason they will be working additional dates on that tour as well.
It's possible that GFW talent, if and when they get going with running regular events, could eventually replace ROH talents, or that New Japan will work with both promotions. Time will tell.
