www.deadline.com/2014/06/michael-rosenbaum-to-star-in-tv-land-pilot-impastor-lifting-contingency/TV Land‘s single-camera pilot Impastor is a go for production with the casting of Smallville alum Michael Rosenbaum as the title character. Originally picked up as cast-contingent, Impastor, from veteran comedy writer Christopher Vane, centers on a lowlife on the run from his debts (Rosenbaum) who hides away in a small town by conning its residents into thinking he’s their newly hired gay pastor. Vane wrote the script and is executive producing alongside Eric and Kim Tannenbaum as well as Rosenbaum. They are joined by comedy veteran Robert Greenberg, who also will executive produce and direct the pilot. Rosenbaum, repped by APA and Untitled, previously took a comedic turn on the Fox single-camera series Breaking In and co-starred on the NBC half-hour pilot Mission Control this past season.
