Former WWE and TNA star Matt Morgan was recently by The NB Show, which is a weekly wrestling-related web show hosted by Nick Buzzelli & Bryan Chechak in Pittsburgh, PA. It can be heard every Monday from 4:00pm – 5-15pm EST on YouTube. During the interview, Morgan discussed CM Punk's WWE departure. "He had his reasons to leave and he stuck by them, and I think that's admirable at the end of the day, I really, really do," Morgan said (props to The Epoch Times for the transcription). "Not enough guys have the balls to do this kind of thing, and if more guys did, I guarantee you … how they come up with [storylines] and focus on the talent would be a little different.
"Punk is wealthy as well. Punk left because … he could probably physically still complete, and maybe wasn't happy with what was happening with his character … things add up, and really snowball out of control. He's smart with his money, he's frugal with his money, so you can't give that excuse. God bless him for not being a robot, who are stuck in the world of wrestling … and the only thing that matters is wrestling."
Morgan also discussed current WWE storylines, getting ribbed by the boys for his Denny's regular order, learning from the Undertaker and much more. You can check out the full interview in the video above.
