The Chicago-area home, which gained fame for being featured as the house of Cameron Fyre’s wealthy family in the 1986 comedy, wasn’t an easy sell. The deal was finally closed five years after it went on the market, and it went through price cuts before being sold.
The house was originally designed by A. James Speyer in 1953, and in 1974 was joined to the famous glassy pavilion.
