Universal Pictures has dated its “Monster High” movie for Oct. 7, 2016.
The live-action adaptation of Mattel’s Monster High doll franchise is produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage under their Fake Empire banner along with Craig Zadan and Neil Meron via their Storyline Entertainment shingle.
The story centers on teens finding their real identities while figuring out what to do with their secret ones at the secret academy Monster High.
It’s the second title to land on the date after Warner Bros. set Ben Affleck’s “Live by Night” for that release slot.
