5/18 TNA RESULTS FROM HATTIESBURG, MS
There were about 2-300 people in attendance. It was a really fun show - the wrestling was nothing to crow about, but the company and performers really try hard to give the crowd an entertaining evening and I doubt anyone left feeling like they didn't get their money's worth.
Sanada def. DJ Z and Tigre Uno in an X-Division match with no real action whatsoever.
Madison Rayne def. Velvet Sky after Earl Hebner kissed Velvet, allowing Madison to get the rollup. Lots of stalling here.
Bobby Lashley beat Gunner clean with a spear. Good match.
Bully Ray def. James Storm in a tables match.
The Wolves def. Ethan Carter III & Rockstar Spud. Afterwards, the Wolves sang "Happy birthday" to Earl Hebner (a day or two late), who then picked up and body-slammed Spud. Fun match.
In the main event, Eric Young pinned Magnus clean.
It doesn't sound great on paper but was an entertaining show live. TNA's biggest plus now are its live shows - there's never a bad seat in the house, you're guaranteed to meet and get autographs from talent, and there's a lot of comedy and playing to the crowd. The preshow party is great, I got to meet Sanada and The Wolves (the whole reason I was there). The VIP experience is worth the purchase - us VIPs got a private meet and great with Velvet Sky, Bobby Lashley, Bully Ray, Madison Rayne and James Storm, plus Eric Young after the main event. That's what makes the live TNA shows so different than other promotions. It really makes you want to root for them to succeed.
