Lionsgate has bought the North American rights to “Dark Blood,” River Phoenix’s last film.
Drama will go out via VOD.
Production of the pic was halted in 1993 following the death of Phoenix.
Director and writer George Sluizer was able to obtain an existing negative of the film and complete it. Pic also stars Judy Davis and Jonathan Pryce.
