The film stars Amalric, Stephanie Cleau, Lea Drucker, Laurent Poitrenaux, Serge Bozon and Blutch and was produced by Paulo Branco. Almaric directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Cleau, based on the novel by Georges Simenon. The drama follows a man and a woman as they meet in a hotel for trysts, followed by the man being suddenly under investigation by the police. The deal for the film was negotiated by Arianna Bocco of IFC Films with Branco on behalf of Alfama Films. Guy Lodge gave the film a downbeat review for Variety, calling it “disappointing.”
