---Scott Steiner on Ric Flair at www.youtube.com/watch/v=goWWYlRiErg
Scott Steiner shoots on Nitro on Flair At
Great North Wrestling recently spoke with Scott Steiner, who discussed his problems with Ric Flair. Steiner revealed that he caught heat for a promo he cut on Flair on an episode of Monday Nitro.
"It was so close to the truth, everything I said," Steiner said. "After I did that, I expected a confrontation in the back. But I got to the back, and somebody said he [Flair] went into a room and started crying."
Steiner then said that Flair and JJ Dillon tried to get him fired. He said that he received word at the Thunder tapings the next night that he was being suspended, and was sent home.
"F-ck it, time off," Steiner said. "So I was walking through the parking lot and Flair comes up. , 'you motherf-cker.' I was going to punch him then. He starts running, [saying], 'I didn't have nothing to do with it.' 'Why do you know about it then if you know nothing about it, 'cause you're just getting to the building."
You can listen to Steiner discuss the incident in the video above.
While Steiner cut several promos on Flair in WCW, I believe the one that he is referring to is from the episode on February 7, 2000, which you can watch below. In the promo, Steiner accused Flair of ripping off Buddy Rogers and causing Steve Austin to be fired. He ended the promo by exclaiming, "WCW sucks!"
---TNA announced a TV taping on 9/26 in Little Rock. Tickets go on sale tomorrow with the code word NLRIMPACT They have a press conference tomorrow with Chris Sabin and North Little Rock Mayor Joe Smith at 2 p.m. at the Verizon Arena.
---**SPOILERS** WWE Smackdown 8/6 Rockford, IL results
1. Randy Orton beat Rob Van Dam in 12:44. I have to give it a draw on a babyface pop from the crowd. Pretty much down the middle. Orton went over with the RKO. Great back and forth match with Orton controlling a little more of the match. Orton hit the RKO after RVD missed the frog splash. RVD popped up and got hit with a nasty RKO. Very solid match.
MizTV featuring AJ Lee with Big E. Langston. Dolph Ziggler interrupted the interview. Kaitlyn came out and interrupted as well. Miz booked a SummerSlam match on the fly due to his role as the SummerSlam host - AJ and Big E Langston vs. Ziggler and Kaitlyn. Lee and Langston jumped Ziggler and Kaitlyn. The babyfaces came back and hit each of their finishers, leaving Big E and AJ lying in the ring.
2. Fandango (w/Summer Rae) beat Kofi Kingston in 4:44. Kingston received a nice pop. Summer Rae in person will make you reach for your chapstick in your pants regardless of whether you carry chapstick or not. Rae's work as a "manager" is solid. Fandango went over by pinfall with a leg drop off the top rope.
3. Daniel Bryan beat Wade Barrett in 4:08. Barrett is now clean shaven. Bryan reached into his beard and blinded Barrett with a handful of lice. No, that didn't happen. Bryan won with the No! Lock.
4. Kane defeated Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, and Jinder Mahal in a handicap match in 1:36. 3MB got a lot of heat, but it was mostly go away heat in my opinion. Kane chokeslammed Jinder for the win. The Wyatt Family interrupted on the big screen and delivered a promo.
5. Christian beat Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match in 18:40. Christian won with a small package. Solid, solid, solid match. 18:40 of solid wrestling. Del Rio jumped Christian, but Christian reversed him into the Unprettier. Christian headed up the ramp afterward, leaving Del Rio in the ring.
Damien Sandow charged the ring with a ref and his briefcase. Before the bell could ring, Cody Rhodes ran down to the ring and climbed up the top rope and hit a flying body press to break up any attempt by Sandow to take Del Rio's title. This concluded the taping.
---Earlier this year, NWA Smoky Mountain Wrestling packed more than 2,000 people into Elizabethton High School.
The hottest promotion in the NWA continues its tour through East Tennessee, as it comes to Sullivan Central High in Blountville on August 17, for a worldwide TV taping and a special fundraiser for the Central athletic department.
See the top stars in NWA Smoky Mountain converge on Central and support a fantastic cause, as a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Central athletic department and fund their sports teams for the new school year.
In one of the top matches on the event, Jason "The Gift" Kincaid takes on Tony Givens, leader of The Illuminati, the most feared faction in all of NWA Smoky Mountain. Kincaid is one of the most popular wrestlers in the promotion who has competed all over the country and in Mexico. His unique look, attitude and wrestling style make each of his matches a spectacle. Givens, however, is a crafty veteran himself and no stranger to the ring wars in East Tennessee. It would be a huge accomplishment for The Illuminati if he could score a win here.
In another match sure to excite the Central community, the Cougars' own Axton Lowe WILL be in action! Lowe is a varsity athlete at Sullivan Central but he's also a professional wrestler for Stars of Wrestling. He makes his NWA Smoky Mountain Wrestling debut at this event. You can bet the Cougar Den will be rocking when Lowe steps into the squared circle.

---TNA star Hulk Hogan claims a movie about his life is in the works.
TMZ caught up with Hogan at LAX to ask who would play him in a movie about his life. "It's being worked on right now, brotha," Hulk claimed as he prepared to check his luggage at the airport.
Hogan also deflected a question about steroids in wrestling. The "interviewer" brought up the topic due to MLB players in the news for suspensions over PED use.
