Gary Haber, a veteran entertainment industry business manager and accountant whose clients included Carrie Underwood, Peter Frampton and screenwriter Les Bohem, has died. He was 68.
Haber, who was on The Hollywood Reporter’s 2013 list of Power Business Managers, died Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, publicist Anna Loynes announced. A cause of death was not immediately available.
His clients also have included Julianne Hough, Joe Cocker and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Haber established the Haber Corp. out of Encino in 1977. When his client list grew to include a substantial number of country artists, he opened a branch in Nashville in 1990 and spent a third of his time there. The two offices combined employ more than 80 people.
The company expanded again in 2000 to better respond to the global market by joining forces with Mark Robertson to open Haber & Robertson International Llc., based outside Paris.
