---Former WWE developmental wrestler Brian McGhee was denied bail today during his arraignment for allegedly murdering his ex-girlfriend in Tampa, FL.Prosecutors told the presiding Judge that they have several witnesses who saw McGhee stab his ex-girlfriend, 25-year-old Bianca McGaughey, outside her apartment on 7/24.A fourth witness has told police that McGhee confessed to killing a woman. McGhee confessed on his Facebook page as well.
---Former TNA star Jesse Sorensen, who was released this past Monday (as we have well documented) announced on his Facebook last night that he will have his first in-ring appearance at an independent event in Tampa, Florida tonight for NWA Florida Underground.TNA sources noted over the last week that Sorensen was adamant about pushing for his return to the ring while under contract, even though he had not received medical clearance from his doctor. That was among the reasons he was let go.Sorensen will step into the ring tonight for the first time since February 2012 when he suffered a broken C-1 vertebrae and herniated C-5 & C-6 discs in his back, temporarily paralyzing himself after being hit by Zema Ion during a dive to the outside.
---We noted before how Maria Kanellis claimed The Bella Twins blocked her from returning to WWE earlier this year. Now Maria says The Bellas stopped other returns from happening.
A fan on Twitter asked Maria if she thought Total Diva Eva Maria is WWE's attempt at replacing her since she "rejected their offer." Maria replied:
"didn't reject their offer. @wwe and I agreed on details of my contract.Bellas blocked 2 other girls and me from getting hired"
---The LA Times reports that Jake "The Snake" Roberts is involved with a new low-budget sci-fi movie called Heavy Water. The movie is trying to raise money through a Kickstarter campaign. Roberts plays Jed, the leader of a band of misfits who gather around a mysterious psychiatric facility. The movie has already completed shooting and is being edited but they need $25,000 more to complete it.

---WWE Invasion 2001 Full PPV-
---The TNA house show in Columbus, Georgia, had a decent turnout of an estimated crowd of 1,500 to 1,700 fans (much larger than the last time they were in town). The people who purchased floor seats were allowed in 2 hours early for a backstage meet and greet with some of the wrestlers. These consisted of Ken Anderson, Gunner, James Storm, Mickie James, Bobby Roode, Robbie E, and Jessie Godderz.
The entrance area for the wrestlers looked better than the last time TNA was here. LED light bars were lined on square trestles and a 60 inch screen was on each side of the entrance. The show begins on time with Jeremy Borash warming the crowd up with offers of back stage passes to the loudest patrons. Devon comes out from a front entrance (keeping with the Aces and Eights persona) and cuts a promo saying that there would be no backstage passes tonight and that Aces and Eights were shutting the show down. Kurt Angle comes out and tells Devon that if Devon wins, they could shut it down, but if Angle wins, not only will the show continue, but Devon must give an Aces and Eights shirt to a fan and shake his hand. Devon agrees and the match begins (Brian Hebner referee). Angle wins with an Angle Slam, and he gives away some passes. Devon flips off the crowd and leaves without giving away a shirt.
The next match is for the Total Knockouts Belt: Mickie James vs Velvet Sky with Earl Hebner as the referee. Hebner taunts the crowd and eventually pulls off his referee shirt revealing his striped “you know what Right I Did” t-shirt underneath. He puts on a pair of Bret Hart sunglasses and struts around the ring. Both women make their entrances. Mickie James is great in her role; she looks like she is really having fun with it. The back and forth match ends with James getting the win by holding Sky’s trunks and the rope.
The TNA Tag Team Straps are now going to be defended with the champs, Gunner and James Storm facing off against Robbie E and Jesse Godderz. This was another entertaining match with plenty of comedy from both Robbie E and Godderz. Earl Hebner even got in on the action, helping Storm hip-toss Robbie E. The champs retain with a clean pin.
The Bobby Roode vs Jeff Hardy match was not a Bound For Glory Series match. A great back-and-forth match that saw Hardy get the duke.
During intermission, Jimmy J (the person who took Don West’s place) cut a promo saying the Earl Hebner had refereed over 100,000 matches and this was a record that probably would never be broken.
After intermission, our Bound For Glory Series match of the evening was Ken Anderson vs. AJ Styles. Anderson came to the ring from a separate entrance (like Devon) and interacted with the crowd. Styles came in with zero interaction. The back and forth match ended Anderson getting the 7 points with a roll-up (and more than a handful of tights) on Styles. After the bell, Styles put Anderson in the Calf Killer, and Brian Hebner came to the ring to help his father break the two wrestlers apart. Styles got in the face of Earl, pushing him across the ring into the turnbuckles.
It’s Main Event time: the TNA World Heavyweight belt is on the line as Chris Sabin defends against Bully Ray. Bully comes to the ring Aces and Eights style and cuts a promo saying that he was robbed and he didn’t want to wait for the steel cage at the upcoming Hardcore Justice TV taping; he wanted a rematch tonight. He said that Sabin should come to the ring and just give the belt to him. Sabin hits the ring and teases Bully as if he was going to give the belt to him, but turns and holds it above his head. The match is a back-and-forth affair with Bully entertaining the crowd. He definitely is one of, if not, the best heel in the business. The match ends somewhat quickly with Sabin getting a clean pin on a roll-up. After the bell, Devon hits the ring and knocks Sabin down. Bully and Devon begin the beat down. Hardy runs in to make the save and he and Sabin run Bully and Devon out of the ring.
All in all, this was an above average house show from TNA. I have been to the three house shows that TNA has run in Columbus over the past years and this was the best crowd yet by far. Everyone went home happy.

---7/27 WRESTLING IS FUN IN EASTON, PA LIVE REPORT FEATURING CHIKARA TALENTS & MORE
I attended The Wrestling is Fun wrestling show at the Palmer Center in Easton, PA. Here are the results. Crowd was maybe 150 people.
Juan Francisco de Coronado vs. Hallowicked-Crowd was big time into Wicked who is a good hand in the ring.Coronado worked over Wicked's leg but Wicked came back with a michinoku driver and his overhead avalanche biel throw from the corner. Wicked went for Go To Sleepy Hallow but the leg gave out and Coronado scored a near fall with a beautiful German Suplex with a bridge. End came when Coronado's man servant accidentally splashed water in Coronado's eyes and he walked right into the Rydeen Bomb...Giving Hallowicked the victory.
Latvian Proud Oak/Estonian ThunderFrog vs. Trevor Lee/Roy Wilkins-Lee and WIlkins work as the tarheels in NC and this was their first appearance here. Before the match Proud Oak danced with an elderly woman and was trying to court her...great stuff. Proud Oak might be the most over guy in the company now, crowd went nuts for him and gave him a standing ovation when he came out. Lee and Wilkins got dominated early as the story was they couldn't handle wreslting a tree and a frog. Huge "Tree" chant throughout the match. Lee and WIlkins were eventually able to get some offense in on Oak. Wilkins hit a wicked closeline and then Lee hit a beautiful dropkick. Lee came off really well with his offense and his character. Fans seemed to want to see him again from what I heard at intermission. Oak was able to make the hot tag and Frog came in and cleaned house. Oak and Frog eventually win with a doubleteam Spike sitout Razor's Edge variant. Very cool finish
Shenron vs. Mark Angelosetti-Good back and forth battle with Shenron using rana's and speed to keep Angelosetti at bay. Angelosetti's arsenal is very football related but his character is great as he gets great heat. Finish came when Angelosetti took the turnbuckle pad off and his Step Cousin Dasher Hatfield prevented him from using it, allowing Shenron to roll him up.
UltraMantis Black/Frightmare vs. Missile Assault Ant/Arctic Rescue Ant-Colony Extreme Force got a lot of heat throughout the match by playing to the crowd and announcing their names. There was a big "Made in China" chant at times throughout the match. Missile Assault Ant must have announced his name on the turnbuckles atleast 15 times. Arctic Rescue does a lot of ski related showboating. Finish came after Mantis hit a cosmic disaster and then Frightmare and Ultra hit a full nelson slam/neckbreaker double team move for the win.
El Hijo del Ice Cream vs. Proletariat Boar of Moldova-Ice Cream was trying to avoid contact early with the much bigger and taller Boar. A nice "future Bacon" chant was aimed at the Boar who is literlaly a guy in an angry Boar mask with a tail. Great stuff. The Boar nailed a lot of power offense. Running shoulder tackles followed by a sequence of powerful backbreakers. Ice Cream fought back with some Steve Austin inspired offense. he stomped a choclate syrup hole in the Boar at one point and then gave him a thez press. El Hijo signaled for the Cold Stone Stunner but was annihilated by a sickle closeline to the back of the Head. The Boar took the win here.
4) Jolly Roger/Lance Steel/Dragon Dragon/Shane Storm vs. Jaka/Max Smashmaster/Flex Rumblecrunch/Oleg the Usurper-The Crowd was into Dragon Dragon because its a guy in a dragon mascot costume and that is awesome. Pier six brawl with all 8 men at the beginning. Dragon Dragon hit a an absurd flip onto everyone on the outside from the top rope. Has to be seen to be believed considering the costume the guy wears. Smashmaster then isolated Shane Storm with a splash. Rumblecrunch hit an impressive rope walk into a shoulder tackle for a near fall. Jaka then came in and battered Storm. Storm was able to make the hot tag after a beautiful counter into a ddt on Oleg. Dragon came in and nailed several closelines. He caught Jaka with a dragon suplex and then had Lance Steel and Jolly Roger hit their Jousting lance on Jaka. Amdist the chaos Jaka began to bit the Dragon's tail and then Oleg literally took Dragon head off with a clubbing shot. KILLING HIM...HE BEHEADED DRAGON DRAGON!!!!! (the mask head went flying in the ring. The crowd was horrified and chanted "you monster" It was a crazy scene. Oleg pinned the dragon's corpse. Fans wanted a ten bell salute. Oleg paraded off with the Dragon Dragon head afterwards. Might be the end of the Dragon Dragon character for a while since he's headless.
Amasis vs. Green Ant-For the Postassium Championship Banana! Ant had a new mask and a goatee visible in this one. Amassis came out to Osirian Portal rap music which confused people (he and Ophidian reconciled and are a tag team again). Early submission and chain wrestling by both. Green Ant really has added a lot of agression in recent months especially in terms of using submission holds. He tied up Amassis several times in excruciating leg submissions. He tried for a cross armbreaker but Amassis did well weathering the storm of submissions early. Both nailed each other with simultaneous kicks to the head and both began trying to kick each others heads off. This was awesome. Just brutal stuff. Ant went for the cloverlead but Amassis was able to escape. Amassis could not nail his discus elbow and got kicked for his trouble. Amassis then took an electric chair driver which was a terrible landing...he was able to kick out at 2. He then walked into a brutal clothseline and as he fought back got scoop slammed into a tombstone pildriver for a major near fall. Somehow Amassis was able to fight back from that and stun ant with a kick and then nail a jaw breaking discus elbow for the three. Fantastic Match from start to finish. Only complaint was it maybe was too short because it was so good. After the match Jaka, Devastation Corp and Oleg trashed the ref Bryce Remsberg, Green Ant and then ganged up on Amassis. Oleg knocked him out with the same clubbing shot he used on Dragon Dragon and then celebrated again with the Dragon Dragon head to close out the show.
Announcer Gavin Loudspeaker asked everyone to visit wrestlingisfun.org on Monday for a special announcement to close the show.

*The Wyatt Family beat R-Truth & The Usos in a good back and forth match. The crowd wasn't sure what to make of the Wyatts at first but got into them. Usos worked really hard. Bray Wyatt got the pin on Truth.
*Kaitlyn beat Divas champion AJ Lee, but it was non-title because Lee decided she defended the belt last night, so she didn't have to tonight.
*Cody Rhodes beat Damien Sandow in what may have been their first ever singles bout. Cody wins clean with the Crossrhodes. Fun stuff here.
Wade Barrett cut a promo on Randy Orton.
There was a dance competition with Summer Rae and The Funkadactyls. The Funky girls won via crowd applause. I went for a beer so I didn't see any of this.
*CM Punk, Rob Van Dam & Sheamus beat Prime Time Players & Big E. Langston in a really great match. The stars gave the PTP and Langston the chance to work competitively and everyone shined. We all knew who was going over, but they still took us on a fun ride. The heroes all hit the finishers in stereo. Nice sequence.
*Jack Swagger forced Alex Riley to submit to the Patriot Lock. Just OK.
*Randy Orton beat Wade Barrett with the RKO. Solid.
*World champ Alberto Del Rio beat Dolph Ziggler in a Street Fight after putting him through a table. Ziggler is super over. After the bout, Ziggler nailed the Zig Zag on ADR to send us home happy. AJ Lee came out and said it was Dolph's birthday and had a cake for him but instead it was smashed in her face. Lilian led us to sing Happy Birthday for Ziggler to close it out. Fun stuff.

---7/27 RAW IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA RESULTS
I went to Raw in Sydney, Australia tonight. Here's what happened- .
-Zack Ryder defeated Heath Slater. WWE may have forgotten about poor Zack but we Aussies gave him a nice response.
-Natalya beat Aksana with the Sharpshooter. OK.
-Great Khali beat Jinder Mahal. Nothing to see here.
-WWE US champ Dean Ambrose beat The Miz in a Sydney Street Fight. Ambrose was great here. Lots of weapons and fighting.
-WWE Intercontinental champ Curtis Axel beat Antonio Cesaro. This was awesome as they went over 20 minutes and gave them both time to look good.
-Team Hell No Bryan beat WWE Tag Team champs The Shield via DQ when Ambrose nailed Bryan with a chair. They tried to triple team Kane but Bryan made the comeback save and everyone hugged it out.
- WWE champion John Cena beat Ryback in a Tables match.
--- 7/27 WWE IN MACON, GA REPORT
Fun stuff.
