OMEGA Championship Wrestling results
February 22, 2014
Smithfield, N.C.
Saturday night's "Loco in Joco" event sold 750 advanced tickets, plus more seats allowed by the Fire Marshal at the Smithfield Recreational Center. According to the promotion, close to 1,000 were in attendance for the show, which benefited the Autism Society of N.C.
(1) C.W. Anderson beat Chris Escobar. The winner replaced Gunner in the OMEGA Title Tournament series bout later in the show. (Gunner was added to TNA's weekend house show tour.)
(2) Reby Sky beat Jayme Jameson via pinfall after a Twist of Fate.
(3) PWI Ultra J champion Trevor Lee beat CWF Mid-Atlantic champion Arik Royal to advance in the OMEGA Title Tournament.
(4) Phil Brown beat "Man Scout" Jake Manning via pinfall. Manning originally won the match with an illegal use of the ropes, but Ronnie from "Lizard Lick Towing" convinced the ref to re-start the match. Ronnie is still a valid OMEGA ref after serving as a guest ref on a previous card.
(5) Mikael Yamaha beat "Bad Luck" Mickey Gambino via submission with a Sharpshooter. Gambino's OMEGA record fell to 0-3.
(6) C.W. Anderson beat Christian York via pinfall to advance in the OMEGA Title Tournament.
TNA star Jeff Hardy made his in-ring return in the main event...
(7) Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy & "Hurricane" Shane Helms beat Ric Converse & Xsiris & Zane Dawson in a six-man tag match when Helms pinned Xsiris after the Vertebreaker. Many in attendance believed this was the first time Helms used the Vertebreaker since 2002.
[ FYI: OMEGA returns Saturday, April 26 in Cameron, N.C. at the alma mater of the Hardy Brothers, Union Pines High School. More details on the show will be released via Twitter @omegalives and on their website, OMEGAChampionshipWrestling.com ]
