WWE signs new TV deal with BSkyB in U.K.
The WWE signed a new five-year contract with BSkyB in the United Kingdom for a major rights fees increase.
Timing was everything, and WWE benefitted from the bidding war for sports content between BSkyB and newcomers BT Sports, which has the UFC deal.
The new deal includes all the weekly television shows, including the debut of Main Event i the market.
The main difference is that all 12 PPV shows will air as PPV shows.
In the past, Sky broadcast several PPVs as stand-alone live television specials.
