The New York Post is reporting today that NBC Universal is pondering creating a physical WWE Hall of Fame at its Universal Studios theme park in Orlando as part of a pitch to retain WWE RAW and SmackDown on USA and Syfy, respectively.
While they have yet to submit their final proposal, and their exclusive negotiating period ends at the end of next week, the Post reports that sources within NBCU have talked about using a physical Hall of Fame as "a deal sweetener."
"WWE is the hottest property on cable and a proven ratings juggernaut," a statement from WWE said. "However, we are in an exclusive negotiating window until the end of next week."

The New York Post has a story that NBC Universal has offered to house the WWE Hall of Fame in Orlando (we've noted that's been on the table for at least a year) at Universal Studios as part of its renewal process to get a new contract. The exclusive negotiating period for Raw & Smackdown ends on 2/1. The story stated that WWE is asking for more than double the current rate, or a $190 million per year package.
