IWGP U.S. Champion Kenny Omega has signed a new one year deal with NJPW according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer. The Wrestling Observer reports that Omega signed his new contract on Jan. 9. Omega had spoken in interviews about wanting to stay in NJPW and help the company grow. He’s also being relied upon to establish the IWGP U.S. Championship as the company expands its global reach in 2018.
Update: According to multiple sources Omega signed his new deal a month ago or longer. He is also said to have gotten raise from his previous contract.
