www.cbr.com/stan-lee-disney-fox-deal-opinion/Comics legend Stan Lee has weighed in on Disney’s recent acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s most major assets. “A truly great piece of news!” the entertainment icon told Newsarama. “Now characters such as the X-Men and the Fantastic Four can come home to the place where they belong. It’s vitally important to have the Marvel characters under one roof. And now, as great as they were before, I can’t wait to see the wonders that will unfold!” The beloved Marvel Comics writer/editor created the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, whose movie rights are now under one roof at Disney. Per the announcement of the acquisition, Disney plans to integrate both comic book-based properties into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which already boasts the likes of heroes such as Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Hulk, among countless others. Cleary, Lee is happy to see even more of his decades-old creations under the same film banner. Disney’s $52.4 billion buyout of 21st Century Fox’s assets was finalized Thursday, after weeks of rumors and reports indicating the deal was inching ever closer to a close.
