Quick results from last night's Premiere Wrestling Xperience's "Country Strong" event at the Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte. Nice crowd but looked a little down (roughly 200 when there's normally 50 to 100 more). Probably due to the early start to accommodate the Mickie James' concert that night in the same venue (promoted by Highspots.com).
My party got there a little late so we missed the opening bout between Shawn Tempers and Chase Brown. My apologizes to those guys.
New TNA star Davey Richards pinned Kyle Matthews.
Rios and Cruz, the Los Ben Dejos, teamed with Zane Riley and Lance Lude to defeat PWX tag champions Ethan Case and Elijah Evans IV, the Worst Case Scenario, Craig Huffman, and PWX Innovative TV champion, "Mr Elite" Drew Myers with manager The Tommy Thomas. Riley pinned Myers.
In a mystery partner tag match, "The Southern Savior" John Skylar and his mystery partner, Michael Elgin defeated "Man Scout" Jake Manning and his partner Kevin Steen. Skylar tricked Steen into thinking Manning had hit him from behind so Steen delivered the package piledriver to Manning. Elgin and Skylar then attacked Steen and Elgin gave Manning a fallaway slam while hitting a Samoan Drop on Steen. Very, very impressive.
Rich Swann pinned Kyle O'Reilly
In the main event, Country Jacked-Corey Hollis and Adam Page were victorious over PWX champion Caleb Konley and "Kick To Kill" Cedric Alexander, known collectively as 7-OH!-4 (for those that don't know that's Charlotte's area code). Really good main event with a strong hint of dissension between Konley and Alexander after the bout.
