ROH announced during last night’s Death Before Dishonor PPV that Omega would be on all four stops of their Global Wars tour in October. He had previously only been scheduled for the Chicago show on October 15th.
KENNY OMEGA TO DEFEND IWGP US TITLE AT ROH GLOBAL WARS: CHICAGO BY BRYAN ROSE | @br26 | SEP 26, 2017 3:43 PM
Kenny Omega will defend his IWGP United States title stateside for the first time, as he will face YOSHI-HASHI at ROH Global Wars: Chicago on October 15th.
YOSHI-HASHI, who gained a number of wins during the Destruction tour this month, challenged Kenny Omega following his first title defense against Juice Robinson backstage at Destruction in Kobe. Omega initially dismissed him, but later said he’d be a great warm up and eventually accepted the challenge.
Ring of Honor had originally announced he would be defending the title back in August when it was first announced he would be wrestling on the tour. The next day, ROH released a statement saying that while he would be on the tour, they could not confirm if he would be defending the title or not. ROH officially confirmed yesterday that the title would be defended.
Kenny Omega is scheduled for all four stops of the Global Wars tours, which include October 12th in Buffalo, October 13th in Pittsburgh, October 14th in Columbus and October 15th in Chicago.
