MORE ON WWE SEEKING FEEDBACK ON BRINGING BACK ECW, BRINGING ROH & NEW JAPAN AND MORE TO THE WWE NETWORK, FULL DETAILS

As Dave Scherer noted, World Wrestling Entertainment issued a survey to fans on their mailing list today, seeking feedback for potential WWE Network changes and programming. Before we start reviewing what was featured in the survey, it is important to note that they are simply mulling over these ideas.
WWE have not announced anything official and in the past, certain ideas they have sought feedback on were never actually executed.
The ideas WWE sought feedback in included the following as potential WWE Network programming ideas:
*Reviving a "new" version of Extreme Championship Wrestling or another "edgy TV" 14 style wrestling program.
*Broadcasting select house shows.
*Broadcasting "Historic and new" programming from Ring of Honor.
*Broadcasting "GFW/Impact Wrestling/TNA."
*WWE Legends House Season 2.
*WWE-style reality series where the contestants are trying to win a job with WWE.
*Potential new tournaments including WWE vs. NXT, a lucha libre tournament, a tag team tournament, tournaments based on a region (think UK championship) and a King/Queens of the Ring tournament.
*Reality series visiting WWE stars' homes.
*Reality series showing life on the road.
*Reality series focusing on WWE stars' training and workouts.
*Special events from unique locations. [Note from Mike: Like the Hardy compound, perhaps?]
*Director's Cut, described as WWE Legends and current stars narrating historic PPVs, matches and events.
*Superstar Roasts.
*A WWE version of "The Office."
*Southpaw Regional Wrestling (described as a comedy)
*An audio section featuring play by play music, podcasts, sports-radio style call in shows and more.
*Other promotions' historic and new programming, with potential choices listed as PROGRESS, New Japan, and ICW.
*Wrestling-themed dramas "inspired by wrestling's colorful and rich history", described as WWE's version of Game of Thrones.
It would appear that a lot of these ideas could be in line in advance of the company finally moving forward with the long-planned tiered-version of the WWE Network.
WWE also asked for feedback on whether viewers would be interested in the ability to download content to go from the Network (as Netflix currently offers), social viewing content with friends via Facebook chats, the ability to personalize the Network with playlists, alternative commentary (the suggested team was Steve Austin and Jerry Lawler), the ability to rate segments or matches (similar to Netflix), alternative camera angles (described as gorilla cam, drone cam, Go-Pro camera), and even virtual reality.
WWE also sought feedback on potential rewards to subscribers including special pricing for VIP events such as meet and greet events, free shipping from WWEshop (think Amazon Prime), early access to ordering tickets, automatic sweepstakes, early access to new merchandise, access to listen in on WWE conference calls with executives, a loyalty program that allows you to earn points for recurring subscriptions that can be used towards merchandise and ticket upgrades (think Disney's Movie Rewards Program), the chance to vote on the WWE Hall of Fame/The Slammys and the opportunity to receive breaking news before WWE issues it on any other platform.
They also sought interest in how much the additions would be worth to subscribers, asking them to price out what was worth the most to them using a budget of $10. If we consider these to be in addition to the current WWE Network service, it means we could be looking at a tiered-system in the potential area of $20 a month.
Obviously, the company is seeking feedback on a lot of different concepts here, so it should be interesting to see what, if anything, ends up developed or brought over to the Network.
