www.cbr.com/star-wars-darth-vader-in-han-solo-spinoff-film/Star Wars: Darth Vader Reportedly Part of Han Solo Spinoff Film Following rumors earlier this year, a new report states that famed Star Wars villain Darth Vader will indeed make an appearance in the upcoming Han Solo spinoff directed by Ron Howard. That Hashtag Show reports that Vader will be a presence in the untitled Han Solo anthology flick directed by Ron Howard, though there’s no word as to whether it will be a cameo or a critical role. The report cites an unnamed source that’s close to the production of the movie, which claims that an actor has been seen on the set of Howard’s Han Solo reshoots in Darth Vader’s iconic armor as close as two weeks ago. The report reiterates that Vader’s involvement could be merely a cameo, but they “can say with confidence” that the villain “is making some kind of appearance in the film.” Spencer Wilding, who portrayed Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, was rumored to have canceled a convention appearance in order to film scenes in the newest Star Wars film, though he has denied any involvement. Based on a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, the film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, in addition to Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Woody Harrelson, and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
