www.cbr.com/boys-ennis-robertson-amazon/The Boys: TV Adaptation of Ennis & Robertson Comic Headed to Amazon Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s adaption of The Boys looks to have moved from Cinemax to Amazon, as Variety reports that the streaming service has ordered a script with the possibility of a straight-to-series order to follow. The project was originally being developed for Cinemax, but it appears the network chose to pass on the project as it looks to now be nearing a home at Amazon. According to the report, the streaming service has ordered a script from writer Eric Kripke with the possibility of a series order to follow. Should the series be picked up, Rogen and Goldberg will direct the pilot. The duo, who are also behind AMC’s Preacher, will also serve as executive producers on the project. Dynamite Entertainment’s The Boys, which ran for 72 issues from 2008 to 2012, depicted a world wherein superheroes had become amoral celebrities that often engaged in destructive and selfish behavior. The Boys are a CIA squad that keeps those heroes in check, taking them out permanently if need be.
