Numerous films have been made based on characters co-created by Stan Lee (and Lee has appeared in most of them), but there's one creation of his he's still waiting on getting a shot at their own film: the Silver Surfer.
“He’s the one I want to see more,” Lee told Syfy. “He’s the most philosophical of all the characters I’ve ever worked on. And I have an idea for my cameo in that one!”
Lee has long had ambitions for a Silver Surfer movie - in 1978, Marvel announced that a feature film based on a treatment by Lee was in development. Lee's treatment eventually became the OGN The Silver Surfer: The Ultimate Cosmic Experience with Jack Kirby.
Legion showrunner Noah Hawley announced earlier this year a standalone Doctor Doom film, so it's conceivable 20th Century Fox could also want to do a Silver Surfer solo film.
