With fallout from his dramatic “Community” exit finally settling, Chevy Chase is eying a return to TV over on the Alphabet.
Variety has confirmed that Chase is developing a comedy at ABC with his “National Lampoon’s Vacation” co-star Beverly D’Angelo. ABC has offered a production commitment to the project, which centers on a married couple (Chase, D’Angelo) raising grandchildren.
Aaron Kaplan is attached to the single-cam comedy as a producer, but details regarding the comedy are still unknown — at this point, there is no script, writer or studio attached to the development.
Chase appeared on NBC’s “Community” for four seasons before exiting the series in late 2012.
