Dark Horse plans three special releases in June to tie into the release of the Sin City: A Dame to Kill For film on August 22, including a colossal omnibus collecting the entire Frank Miller saga in one volume; Frank Miller: The Art of Sin City in a new trade paperback edition; and a reprint of the long-out-of-print A Dame to Kill For 1993 hardcover edition. Frank Miller’s Big you know what Sin City includes all seven volumes of the hard-nosed crime drama in between 1344 and 1360 pages (TBD), retailing for $100. Frank Miller: The Art of Sin City was originally released in 2002 in hardcover. The new $25 trade paperback edition will feature an introduction by art critic R.C. Harvey, and will feature both published and unpublished pieces and include everything from preliminary sketches to promotional pieces. The hardcover reprint of A Dame to Kill For will include the Eisner-Award winning story that inspired Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s movie sequel. The 212-page edition has an MSRP of $24.99. All three books will be released in the direct market on June 25, and probably around July 8 in bookstores. In addition to the movie, there’s a long-gestating Sin City TV show in development that getting some recent attention with a tv show.
