www.sescoops.com/report-jeff-jarrett-back-with-tna/Ahead of tonight’s “live” Impact Wrestling tapings from Orlando, PWInsider reports that TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett has come to terms with Anthem Sports & Entertainment to return to the company. Jeff and wife Karen are scheduled to attend this week’s tapings. Anthem announced on Thursday that it has acquired a majority stake in TNA Wrestling, with Anthem Executive Vice President Ed Nordholm assuming the role as President of the newly formed Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions, LLC. Dixie Carter is out as Chairman of Impact Ventures and join the Advisory Board of Fight Media Group. Dutch Mantell, a longtime Jarrett lieutenant, is also in Orlando and will also be helping out with this week’s tapings. He previously worked on TNA’s creative team from 2003-2009. As for Jarrett’s upstart Global Force Wrestling, that project is still alive and Jarrett will continue shopping around their taped shows in hopes of landing a TV deal.

www.f4wonline.com/tna-news/jeff-jarrett-returns-tna-consulting-role-update-gfws-future-227746JEFF JARRETT RETURNS TO TNA IN CONSULTING ROLE; UPDATE ON GFW'S FUTURE BY JOSH NASON | @joshnason | JAN 5, 2017 10:56 AM First reported by PWInsider and confirmed Thursday by Dave Meltzer, Jeff Jarrett has returned to TNA in a working relationship as a consultant. He, wife Karen, and Dutch Mantel are all in Orlando, FL, right now for the beginning of what will be a long run of TV tapings that will extend through next week. The news comes a day after Anthem Sports & Entertainment announced they will soon become majority stakeholders of TNA Impact Wrestling, moving Dixie Carter to a different role within Anthem. Jarrett was one of the original founders of TNA and officially left the company in December 2013. He would later return in a 2014 on-screen angle with his Global Force Wrestling promotion and to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. At that point, he sold his remaining minority interest in the company to Carter. As for GFW, it's expected that Anthem will help finally make a TV deal for the fledging promotion a reality. Whether or not that deal is on their airwaves is unknown. Mantel has been out of the spotlight since the Zeb Colter gimmick was dropped by WWE. While his role is unknown, he has long been a Jarrett ally with creative, so a similar consulting role appears to be in the cards for him as well. On a side note for Thursday's somewhat-live edition of Impact, Angelina Love, Davey Richards and Brooke Tessmacher are returning.

www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2017/0105/620942/big-spoiler-on-this-week-tna-tv-tapings/Big Spoiler On This Week's TNA TV Tapings, Top Name Back With TNA Source: PWInsider PWInsider is reporting that TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett and his wife, Karen, will be at this week's TNA television tapings in Orlando. As noted, Jarrett had met with Anthem Sports & Entertainment, which officially announced this week that they have acquired a majority interest in TNA, last week about returning to the company. Jarrett had founded the company in 2002 alongside his father, Jerry Jarrett. After Panda Energy acquired a majority interest in TNA, Jeff Jarrett retained a minority interest in the company until January of 2014. According to PWInsider, Anthem originally reached out to Jarrett last month and that this does not mean that Jarrett will be folding his Global Force Wrestling promotion. Jarrett's deal with TNA will apparently not affect any of GFW's business deals. It was noted that Jarrett ally Dutch Mantell, f.k.a. Zeb Colter in WWE, is in Orlando and is also expected at this week's tapings. Mantel worked backstage for TNA on the creative team from 2003 - 2009.

www.pwinsider.com/article/106913/the-deal-is-done-tna-behind-the-scenes-update.html?p=1THE DEAL IS DONE: TNA BEHIND THE SCENES UPDATE Anthem Media has come to terms for Jeff Jarrett to return to TNA, PWInsider.com has confirmed. We are told that Jarrett will be at this week's TV tapings, as will his wife Karen Jarrett. Jarrett, one of the original founders of TNA alongside his father Jerry Jarrett, resigned his position from the company in December 2013. At the time, Jarrett held the position of Executive Vice President of Development/Original Programming and his departure was seen as a huge shock at the time. Jarrett would go on to form Global Force Wrestling while still a minority shareholder in TNA, which was seen as an embarrassment to TNA at the time. There was such an anger about that from Carter's end, that, at the time TNA brought back the six-sided ring, numerous sources told PWInsider.com that it was done because Carter felt Jarrett would do it within GFW, so it was TNA's way of cutting him off at the pass. As it turned out, Jarrett was brought back in 2014 as part of a deal that saw him inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame on camera while behind the scenes, Dixie Carter acquired his shares in the company, giving her, at the time 100% ownership. It was a deal that was done so that Carter had complete control and could attempt to find new partners without Jarrett's potential interference, something that led TNA down the road to Aroluxe, Billy Corgan and finally Anthem Media. Only, Anthem decided to turn to Jarrett. The re-emergence of Jarrett was pointed to this morning as a sign that Carter was completely out in terms of decision-making as the pair had at times, split the loyalty within the company between their two sides and had a number of falling outs over the years, including a time period where Jarrett took time off from the company after it became public knowledge he was dating his now wife Karen (who had previously been married to Kurt Angle, at the time the top star in TNA). During that time away, Carter let go of Jarrett's entire support staff at the time, including Dutch Mantel, Savio Vega, Jim Cornette and Brian "Roaddogg" James. "There is no way [Carter] would have allowed Jeff to return," said one source who spoke under condition of anonymity this morning. "This is proof that she is done." The return of Jarrett makes him something of a Steve Jobs figure within TNA as like Jobs, Jarrett was forced out/walked away from something he created, only for that same entity to reach out seeking his assistance in righting it down the line. Anthem reached out to Jarrett last month and held a number of meetings with him as they did their due diligence prior to officially announcing yesterday that they had acquired Impact Wrestling. We are also told that Dutch Mantel is already in Orlando and is expected at this week's tapings, which certainly lends credence to the idea that Jarrett will be helping behind the scenes in terms of creative as Mantel was always one of his top lieutenants in that regard in the past. After being let go by TNA, Mantel, considered a great mind for the business, had a run with WWE as Zeb Colter. We are also told that this does not mean the end of Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling promotion, which has been working to establish a TV deal in conjunction with "American Ninja Warrior" production company A. Smith & Co. Productions in Los Angeles. Sources indicate that whatever Jarrett is doing with TNA, it will not impede any potential GFW business moving forward.
