variety.com/2016/film/news/eli-roth-crypttv-michael-bay-451-media-horror-short-1201945126/ Blumhouse and Eli Roth’s CryptTV, Michael Bay’s 451 Media Team on Horror Short CryptTV and 451 Media are partnering on a new horror short based on the feature-length script for “Jericho Hill.” The film centers on serial killer brothers who become social media stars, and respond to internet trolls by terrorizing a couple and invading their home. CryptTV is the digital genre studio backed by “Hostel” director Eli Roth and “The Purge” producer Blumhouse Productions, while 451 Media is a technology focused company co-founded by “Transformers” director Michael Bay with the aim of developing intellectual property. “Crypt has been able to not only get our stories and characters directly to our massive horror audience, but we truly understand in real time exactly who they are and how they enjoy horror,” Roth said in a statement. “This partnership is what we believe in, combining digital technology with great storytelling and we can’t wait to bring this exciting new project to life with 451 and bring it to Crypt fans.” “Jericho Hill” is adapted from a script by Thomas Fenton (“Saw IV”). The partners plan to keep working together on future projects. The short will be released on CryptTV’s Facebook page, which has more than 1.6 million followers. CryptTV has previously released work and hosted contests on social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat.
