The two companies combined forces on Transformers: Combiner Wars, which since its August launch has racked up 120 million global views on such platforms as go90 and YouTube. Transformers: Combiner Wars executive producer/showrunner Eric Calderon is returning to oversee the development of the final two installments. Set after the action in Combiner Wars, which mashed up existing and new characters in the Transformers mythology, the follow-up installments center on the depleted forces of Cybertron and a broken Council of Worlds who must face off against a new threat larger than anything that has come before. “The global fan base has really embraced this vision of the Transformers,” said Machinima CEO Chad Gutstein, “and we are thrilled to be working closely with Hasbro developing the next two installments of the series.”
