Additionally, FilmRise has also announced that it has acquired worldwide distribution rights to Michelle Sinclair’s debut documentary “Chicago: The Terry Kath Experience.” The film is described as “the never-before-seen story of legendary guitarist, lead singer, and founding member of Chicago, Terry Kath. The film is director Michelle Sinclair’s homage to her late father, who tragically passed away in the late ’70s at the height of the band’s success. Sinclair considers Kath’s life and work through a mixture of present-day interviews and archival material, creating an intimate portrait of the man behind Chicago’s iconic solos and animated sounds.”
The distributor will release the film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and most recently screened at DOC NYC, throughout the world in all media in 2017.
