10/14 HOUSE OF HARDCORE RESULTS FROM CLEVELAND, OHIO
By Mike Johnson on 2016-10-15 11:22:00
Tommy Dreamer's House of Hardcore debuted in Cleveland, Ohio last night, featuring the following results:
*The Underground Luchador (a masked Matt Striker) defeated Alex Reynolds with Benjamin Boone. There was said to have had a lot of shenanigans with the crowd getting into them doing big spots from old WWF names.
*Facade defeated John Silver.
*Kevin Thorne defeated Bull James.
*Candice LaRae defeated Jessica Havok with Marti Belle as guest referee,
*Team Tremendous & Swoggle defeated The NOW, Vic Dalishus & Hale Collins & Matt Justice with The Double Duprees Monique & Monet. Bill Carr lost a loser leaves HOH bout but was still brought in as he had already been advertised. He is now gone from HOH for one year. Tremendous gave a farewell speech but were attacked by the heels, leading to Sandman's grand entrance making the save.
*Bob Holly defeated Sami Callihan. Holly was said to have been in awesome shape. Said to have been a great match.
*Matt Cross defeated Tony Nese. Tommy Dreamer compared it to Dean Malenko vs. Eddie Guerrero and joked that it will soon be on every independent show and that he wanted a finder's fee.
*In what was billed as the "First Ever No Politics No BS Just Wrestling Match" featuring a contracted TNA wrestler and a contracted WWE wrestler in the ring at the same time, EC3 defeated Tommy Dreamer and Rhino. Lots of weapons. Kevin Thorne hit the ring and joined EC3 in beating down Rhino and Dreamer. Bully Ray/Bubba Ray Dudley made the save and closed the night doing a promo putting over HOH.
Notes:
Tommy Dreamer wrote his own recap of the show on his Facebook page. Dreamer has given us permission to reprint it and we have on Page 2.
The show was sold out, which Dreamer was absolutely thrilled about given there was a sold-out Cleveland Indians game, a minor league hockey game that drew 7,000 and President Obama was also in town, so the week of, you can imagine the worry about all the distractions in the city when you are about to debut.
Reny Amoras, who works independents in the NYC are as Katred handled the ring announcing.
The following was penned by Tommy Dreamer:
The Underground Luchador defeated Alex Reynolds w/Benjamin Boone w/ DX Superkick/suck it pedigree people were into everything these 2 did. Lots of OLE chants Good solid fun opener.
Facade defeated John Silver (I didn't see it heard it was good both solid workers).
Kevin Thorn defeated Bull James. Kevin is in amazing shape, Bull is the form of a shape. Both guys stiffed the hell out of each other & 2 agile big guys. Really enjoyed the match. Bull went for his pedigree finisher Kevin countered fled to corner and behind refs back jammed his walking stick into Bulls Throat stealing a victory by cheating that Vampire b**t*rd.
Candice LaRae defeated Jessica Havok. Marti Bell was a nice surprise she served as special ref. I didn't see any of the match but both women kill each other and are great workers. 2 people whose opinion I trust said match was real good. Side note Marti Belle looks like if Kristy the Clown had a hot Latina daughter.
Team Tremendous & Swoggle defeated The NOW Vic Dalishus & Hale Collins & Matt Justice w/ The Double Duprees Monique & Monet in their corner. If you have seen any HOH shows this match is so entertaining and 1 of my personal favorites no matter what combination I use. Everyone steps up. Yes Team Tremendous Bill Carr lost a Loser leaves House of Hardcore 18 PHILLY but I advertised them on the Cleveland poster so I didn't want to false advertise tho most people said who is the Big Bossman looking dude on the poster. Bill is probably one of the greatest big men of all time. I marvel at the stuff he can do in ring for his size. However he has a great job outside of wrestling and can't get time off so until I get a tv deal and be able to offer him a full time salary. Sadly he is gone from HOH for 1 year. Matt Justice is a former WWE developmental talent who is real good. Match was great. Prematch Dan Berry cut a nice promo saying goodbye to House of Hardcore then the heels beat them down because they are sore losers. Swoggle(without his Horn) tried to fight off all 3 men by himself (If I was him I would have went under the ring & pulled out Fit Finley but he wasn't thinking) Swoggle got his fat a** beat down then Enter The Sandman hit 4minutes and 44 seconds later Sandman caned and cleared the ring making the save for a former Leprechaun & 2 fake detectives.
Intermission Sandman posed for pictures, the wrestlers sold their tshirts, the bar sold their concessions
Bob Holly defeated Sami Callihan I didn't see the match. I heard it was awesome. Both men are so good. Bob is still in amazing shape Sami is all that I love in a vicious heel. My eyes for the show was in awe of how great the match was. Both men beat the sh** out each other.
Matt Cross defeated Tony Nese This was the 1st time ever for these too and all I can say was it was as good as Eddie Guerrero Dean Malenko classics. I love when I see wrestlers watching the matches because they want to see a match. It was a a classic and will probably be done on several independent shows across the works so I want my finders fee dammit.
The First Ever No Politics No BS Just Wrestling Match
Ethan Carter vs Rhino vs Tommy Dreamer
History was made when a contracted TNA wrestler vs Contracted WWE Wrestler vs an independent wrestler ( I'm Holding out for more $ with HOH mgmnt). I can tell you every spot from this match hell I can tell you every spot I had in every match because I have a disease known as pro wrestling and I can't forget stuff (Still mad I wiffed on my Superkick to RVD November to Remember 97, but that's crazy me). Highlights all 3 men were very over with the crowd, some fun 3 way stuff, then it went to the floor then all over the building. Dreamer got dropped on guardrail on his little Dreamers ( how I had twins I will never know)
A ladder and a chair was brought into the match finish saw Rhino Gore Dreamer, then Rhinodriver then Carter hit his stupid finisher on Rhino on top of Dreamer who had a chair on him for the 1 2 3 (you know what I do alot of jobs in this company hence holding out for more $$ mgmnt always keeping the boys down you know what the office)
Carter got his hand raised then out of no where Kevin Thorn jumped him then Kevin put boots to Rhino and myself. Hitting me with his old sit out uranagi for my 11th bump of the evening. I guess Kevin can't let that great WWE/ECW past of his go. Then my eyes of the show hit the ring with the grace of a gazelle & the body of a moose Bully Ray to the rescue he blasted Thorn w/a chair clearing the ring to a huge pop.
Bully got on microphone cut promos at TNA,ROH, WWE he put over House of Hardcore.
Rhino and Carter all thanked the crowd so did Dreamer who despite 44k Sold out Cleveland Indians playoff game, over 10k at the minor league hockey Monsters raising the Calder Cup trophy both 2 miles away from his show & a trip from President Obama & Cavs signed JR Smith, I think Haley's Comet was landing in Cleveland as well.
The show was a financial success. I didn't lose money didn't make a whole lot but again I didn't lose. So we will be back to Cleveland.
Overall a real special show.
Side notes:
NY based indy talent Katred did the announcing it was her 1st time and was excellent in her other persona Reny Amoras.
Biggest heat
Mentions of Obama
Mentions of Dixie Carter
Kevin Thorn
Biggest pops
Everyone crowd was into everything
Though I feel Dreamer is the most over and should be given that huge money contract by HOH and he is losing weight, getting abs and has more thicker hair.
All the fans and wrestlers had a great time.
Swoggle got drunk on a shot of whiskey & had to be helped to my car by a sober Sandman & Atlas security. Wow do things change. Goodnight from Cleveland.
I love wrestling.
