William Shatner is going to explore his villainous side. The Star Trek icon will voice Two-Face in a sequel to Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, it was announced Thursday at New York Comic-Con at the world premiere screening of the animated film. The sequel is set for 2017. The news comes ahead of the release of Return of the Caped Crusaders, which features stars of the original 1966-68 Batman TV show, including Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin) and Julie Newmar (Catwoman). Return of the Caped Crusaders is set to have a limited, one-day run on the big screen for three exclusive showings on Monday at 2:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time via Fathom Events. It will then be available from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital HD beginning Tuesday, and on Blu-ray and DVD on Nov. 1. Shatner was plenty busy during the run of the original Batman series, as his stint as Captain James T. Kirk on Star Trek went from 1966-69. As for the Batman show, it never featured Two-Face. Iconic sci-fi writer Harlan Ellison penned a script that would feature the villain, but it was never produced. The story finally saw the light of day when DC Entertainment published it in a comic, last year's Batman '66: The Lost Episode #1.
