www.pwinsider.com/article/105010/tna-updates.html?p=1TNA UPDATES By Mike Johnson on 2016-09-28 22:00:00 In regard to several rumors that are making their way around tonight, there have been no changes in TNA ownership in any regard as of this evening and there have been no flights or talents canceled from next week's scheduled TV tapings. Billy Corgan is scheduled to appear on ESPN's Dan Le Batard radio show at 11:30 AM, so it should be interesting to see what update he provides, if any, on the TNA ownership situation.

www.pwinsider.com/article/105004/i-will-be-in-orlando-rain-or-shine-billy-corgan-comments-on-whether-bound-for-glory-will-take-place.html?p=1'I WILL BE IN ORLANDO RAIN OR SHINE" - BILLY CORGAN COMMENTS ON WHETHER BOUND FOR GLORY WILL TAKE PLACE By Mike Johnson on 2016-09-28 15:19:00 Billy Corgan appeared on SiriusXM's "Busted Open" radio show discussing TNA and where things stand for the company this afternoon leading into Sunday's Bound for Glory PPV. Corgan said there were a lot of people "at the table right now" and said, "Whatever is going to happen this week or this weekend is going to change the director of the company forever...and this is not a wrestling angle." When asked about the potential that Bound for Glory would not take place this Sunday, Corgan said he would be in Orlando "rain or shine" and said that the last three rounds of tapings, he has been the person who agreed to financially float those PPV/tapings so they could take place, noting they were deals where the "ink was drying" as TNA went to the ring. Corgan said that he's done everything in his power to make sure that Bound for Glory takes place from a personal and financial level - noting that he was using money from "his own pile" to attempt to purchase the "majority ownership" of TNA - and that he had put everything in place on his end. He said that at the end of the day, it's not up to him but he would personally be in Orlando "rain or shine." Corgan said that the funding is part of the negotiations and the question is, what are the people funding the show getting for their money? Corgan said that where it gets complicated is that it's one thing to fund the company, but it's another to set the company up to be solvent and successful. Corgan said he didn't want to be having the same conversation with Busted Open in three months. Corgan said he has the funds to step forward, but if that means in two months, talents are in the same boat yet again, then what would be the point. Corgan said that all of talents he's spoken with are on board and hopeful he can "win" and steer the TNA ship going forward. Corgan said, "Enough air has gone out of the balloon. It's time to put air back in the balloon and let this thing be what it can be." He said that if they can't remove the black cloud, he can't look the talents in the eye and tell them that now they can work on moving forward and creating everything TNA can be. If he can't be in that position to look Eddie Edwards and Bobby Lashley in the eye and know they are going to do business for the next 20 years together, he won't make a deal. Corgan also asked that everyone listening to remember that there's a human element of people who perform for the company and those who work behind the scenes who will be greatly effected by what happens to the company and it's important to put them first. Corgan also noted that he met with Pop TV President Bradley Schwartz last week in Los Angeles and Schwartz was very much on board with TNA and the "culture" Corgan wanted for the company. Corgan said he wants to build a truly "21st century empire" where people can kick ass. He said that if people tune into the PPV this weekend and he is standing in the ring, they are guaranteed a "crazy PPV" and that it means the black cloud over TNA "will be a lot smaller." Dixie Carter was not mentioned by name.

www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2016/0929/617932/more-on-tna-sale-negotiations/More On TNA Sale Negotiations, Dixie Carter Being Blamed For The Mess, WWE Out Of The Picture Again? Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter As noted, it's crunch time for TNA this week as the company needs to fund this Sunday's TNA Bound for Glory pay-per-view and their next set of television tapings in Orlando, Florida. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer that Dixie Carter, who is still majority owner of the company with 70% of the stock, is being blamed for making the sale a mess. "There are a lot of hurdles and games being played," someone with knowledge of the sale talks told Meltzer. "She (Dixie Carter) has really made a mess and is responsible for all of it." Carter will be making the decision on who gets the company. Carter doesn't have the money to afford this weeks shows, which would cost around $600,000, and needs someone who can fund it. Another person close to the situation told Meltzer that they thought Aroluxe had control of the company last week, and then thought Corgan had it this past Saturday. "Now I know the same BS is still going back-and-forth," they told Meltzer. "She is something else. I've never met someone so clueless. She is out of touch on all levels. Both sides want her out. There is no doubt there. It's the only thing they can agree on." It was noted that WWE was back in the picture at the start of the week because of TNA executive John Gaburick, who was with WWE until 2013, but was back out. TNA also has millions of dollars of debt, much of which is to Aroluxe and Corgan, but there are other creditors. Fite TV reportedly also has a stake in the company. If WWE were to purchase the company, they wouldn't assume the debt and it would be the end of the company, as they would just be purchasing the tape library and taking some talent. Meltzer noted that a deal pretty much has to be made by this Friday, otherwise there will be no Bound For Glory pay-per-view on Sunday and television tapings next week, which would put TNA in breach of their television and pay-per-view contracts. That doesn't "guarantee death," but television partners could use it to cancel the show. As noted, Corgan appeared on Busted Open yesterday to discuss the uncertainty regarding the future of TNA and said that there are a lot of people at the table looking at the company. "It's reached a point where it's going to have a transformational moment," Corgan said. "Whatever's going to happen this week or this weekend or whatever, is going to for sure - and this is not a wrestling angle - it is definitely going to change the direction of the company forever. Does that mean the company ends, does that mean the company begins a new era? Obviously I am very much on the side and very much invested that the company would continue." Corgan said that he had to step in at the "literally the last minute" for the last three rounds of tapings, so he's used to being in this situation. He said that ultimately it's not up to him, but he's done everything he can to create a scenario to go forward. He said that he's been the financer, and that he has no investors, so he's committed and charging forward on his own initiative. "Having been through this the last three rounds, I still remain very optimistic that come Sunday I will be standing in the ring putting over what's about to happen," Corgan said. "I will be in Orlando come rain or shine. I can't speak for everybody else at this particular moment, but I will be in Orlando this Sunday."

Corgan noted that he's been trying to acquire a majority share of TNA. He said that the company has had a "for sale" sign for a long time, saying it could be argued that it's had a "'for sale' sign it's entire existence." He said that he got involved when the company was having some issues and went on to take a bigger role over the past six months. He said that he wants to provide more details about why he's doing what he's doing, but he has legal obligations to not talk about things that would paint him in a more favorable light or to shed light on the complications of the issues at hand. Corgan said that right now there are a lot of people at the table looking at the company. Obviously I am very much on the side and very much invested that the company would continue." Corgan asked fans to consider all the talent that work for the company and the people who work behind the scenes whose futures are hanging in the balance. He said he's working very hard to acquire a majority share of the company and to keep the company going forward to keep everybody working. Corgan was asked what Pop TV's commitment is to a new ownership group if he were to take over the company. Corgan said that while he was working on a new album in Los Angeles, he met with the President of Pop TV and the new Vice President of Programming of Pop TV, who gave him a very strong show of support of the company going forward under him. Corgan said that Pop TV are pleased with TNA's growth and the social media reaction to the product. As for whether Bound For Glory will happen this Sunday as scheduled, Corgan would not give a definitive yes, although he said that he was optimistic that a solution will get worked out by then. Corgan said that he had to step in at the "literally the last minute" for the last three rounds of tapings, so he's used to being in this situation. He said that ultimately it's not up to him, but he's done everything he can to create a scenario to go forward. A veteran TNA talent told me today that everyone is very nervous about the impending sale. Many TNA talents are used to the uncertainty but it sounds like this is a new level of concern backstage. Furthermore, some wrestlers who were booked for the Impact tapings next week have had their flights and matches canceled. The TNA talent I spoke with wasn't even sure if he will be on the Bound For Glory card as the company is really looking to save as much money as possible. While it is possible that Bound For Glory doesn't happen exactly as planned, Billy Corgan and other officials remain optimistic that a deal will be made before Sunday.

www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2016/0929/617939/billy-corgan-on-if-he-can-win-a-bidding-war-with-wwe/Billy Corgan On If He Can Win A Bidding War With WWE, Struggles With TNA Sale, If BFG Will Happen Billy Corgan appeared on ESPN Radio's The Dan Le Batard Show moments ago and discussed the current state of TNA. Things have not changed since yesterday, and a sale has not been finalized. Corgan was asked about WWE being interested in buying TNA and how you win a bidding war with Vince McMahon. Corgan said that you don't, and McMahon could buy it if he wanted to and there's nothing anyone can do to stop him. As of this moment, it hasn't happened and he doesn't think wi will, and he hopes that he would know since he's involved in the process of buying the company and owns a piece Corgan noted that there is currently "a gunfight" with who will get control of the company. He wouldn't say 100% that Bound For Glory will happen this Sunday, but that that he hopes everything will be resolved. He doesn't think everyone involved would put everyone out of work. He's spoken to talent who have asked that he not take a bad deal. When asked about the issues he is currently facing regarding the sale, Corgan talked about pro wrestling struggling with revenue and noted that a wrestling show will generate much lower ad revenue than another show with similar (or lower) ratings. He said that there is a money struggle, but also a creative one on what the company will look like. He wants to change the perception of wrestling. Corgan said that WWE has really been the only company that has had a winning philosophy in the business. He said that while, they've had a winning philosophy, there are different ways you can do business. He made a comparison of Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, noting how they're completely different but both successful. He wants to create a different kind of product with TNA, and one of the struggles has been that there are others who have a completely different vision for how the company should be. He also said that TNA needs consistent capital in order to promote and grow the company, which they haven't had in a long time.

Furthermore it’s being said any reports that TNA has already been sold, or that there have been changes in TNA ownership, are untrue. www.wrestlezone.com/news/759329-update-the-latest-on-a-potential-sale-of-tna-is-wwe-still-in-the-picture-how-much-will-it-cost-to-fund-bfg-tna-tv-tapings-moreUpdate: The Latest On A Potential Sale Of TNA, Is WWE Still In The Picture?, How Much Will It Cost To Fund BFG & TNA TV Tapings?, More The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that it is indeed crunch time for TNA as the company needs to fund this Sunday’s Bound For Glory PPV as well as next week’s television tapings. Dave Meltzer notes that Dixie Carter, who is still the majority owner in TNA, is being blamed for the making the sale a total mess. Someone with close knowledge of the situation reportedly told Meltzer that there are a lot of, “hurdles and games being played,” and that she is responsible for making a mess of all of it. Funding this week’s shows will cost around $600,000 and Dixie is said not have the money to afford it. Dixie will be the one who decides who gets the company. Some that Meltzer were talking with believed last week that Aroluxe had control of the company and then this past Sunday thought Billy Corgan had control of it. In regards to the situation Meltzer had the following to say, “I know the same BS is still going back-and-forth. She is something else. I’ve never met someone so clueless. She is out of touch on all levels. Both sides want her out. There is no doubt there. It’s the only thing they can agree on.” Earlier in the week it was noted that WWE was back in the picture. That was because of TNA executive “Big” John Gaburick who used to work for WWE but apparently WWE is back out. TNA has millions of dollars in debt to Aroluxe, Corgan and other creditors. If WWE were to purchase TNA they would not be taking on that debt. They would just be looking to purchase the tape library and possibly some of the talent. If TNA cannot get a deal put together by Sunday then they will have to cancel Bound For Glory and their television tapings next week. That would put them in breach of those respective contracts. That may not guarantee the death of the company but TNA’s television partners could use it as an excuse to cancel the show.

www.sescoops.com/report-tna-cancels-some-wrestler-flights-no-clear-favorite-to-buy-the-company/Report: TNA Cancels Some Wrestler Flights, No Clear Favorite to Buy the Company The prospects for TNA surviving as a wrestling promotion in time for Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view event and the subsequent TV tapings appear to be getting more and more grim by the hour. First, on Wednesday evening, a report from WrestlingInc revealed that according to “a veteran TNA talent,” a number of wrestlers’ flights to Orlando for next week have been cancelled. It wasn’t made clear if this was any of the advertised talent for Bound For Glory or just wrestlers set to be in matches not yet announced for the show. In addition, the new issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribers only), there are arguably some mixed messages. Dave Meltzer writes that “the feeling now is [Dixie] Carter is going to make the best deal for her[self],” but that at least as of press time late last night, WWE, who’s in the best position for a mercenary deal like that, is not at the negotiating table. Of course, it should be noted that when WWE bought WCW’s assets in 2001, WWE had already passed on a buyout and stepped in when it became clear there were no other buyers. Like with WCW, if WWE were to get TNA, it would be expected that they would buy only the assets and not the company outright. Meltzer added that TNA’s debt “is in the millions of dollars” with creditors including Billy Corgan, Aroluxe, and others, and the debt may very well be greater than the value of the company at this point. That gap is even more pronounced if the company can’t get the ~$600,000 they need by Friday: TNA will be in breach of its TV deals, quite possibly lose them, and literally lose all value other than that of the tape library. As of this writing, TNA has 30 hours or so to secure funding. If they don’t, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where the company doesn’t need to file bankruptcy. Even if the tape library and trademarks are sold to WWE, that most likely won’t cover all of TNA’s debt. For WWE’s purposes, with no rush on their side and no competition for the intellectual property if it went it’s not ridiculous to suggest that they could get a lower price that way.

www.sescoops.com/wwe-not-buying-tna-billy-corgan-bound-for-glory-2016/Billy Corgan: WWE Not Buying TNA, Doesn’t Foresee Anything ‘Ridiculous’ Stopping PPV Earlier today, Billy Corgan appeared on The Dan Le Betard Show to discuss TNA’s precarious situation right, and while there wasn’t a ton of new information, there were a couple interesting quotes. With regards to WWE buying TNA or its intellectual property, Corgan said “No, as at this moment that has not happened.” He explained that “I have a piece of the company and so I have to be informed we hope to have to be informed — at least i would hope to be informed of that.” It sounded like he may have been joking about that last part and not doubting himself, but at this point, nothing would be surprising. When asked of Bound for Glory is happening this Sunday, Corgan didn’t answer the question directly. Instead, he said that “I don’t expect anybody’s going to do anything too ridiculous to make sure that doesn’t happen; it would put a lot of people out of work.” That’s a strange answer: Even if you don’t blame him for not giving a direct answer, what’s something “too ridiculous” that someone would make sure to do to keep the pay-per-view and subsequent TV tapings from happening? The shows aren’t happening if TNA doesn’t get funding for expenses before the end of business tomorrow. That’s not “ridiculous,” that’s no funding coming through. As he’s explained in his other interviews this week, Corgan does not want to fund the shows just to keep the company on life support again, something he strongly implied he’s done three times so far. But can he make a deal to outright buy the company with a day or so to go and a “standoff” (as he put it to Le Batard) going on between various interested parties?

www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2016/0929/617943/more-on-tna-canceling-talent-flights/More On TNA Canceling Talent Flights, Speculation Going Into Next Week's Impact Wrestling Tapings I reported yesterday that TNA had canceled some flights and matches for talents coming into Orlando for next week's Impact Wrestling tapings. A veteran TNA talent also told me that he wasn't sure if he would even be on Sunday's Bound For Glory pay-per-view card as the company is really looking to save money this weekend due to how cash-strapped they are. As noted, the uncertainty in the company has many talents very nervous going into the weekend. Since I reported on the flight cancellations yesterday, PWInsider came out with a report of their own and said that the story of flights being canceled was not true. In checking back with my source, I was told that several of the recent TV regulars had their flights canceled and were told to be on stand-by for next week's tapings. The veteran TNA talent speculated that TNA may book many local Florida guys for next week instead of flying other wrestlers in from around the country. I should have more details on Friday but Justin LaBar of TribLive.com also reported on the flight cancellations with this tweet today: Justin LaBar ✔ @justinlabar Sadly, TNA has cancelled some wrestlers flights &matches to cut costs. The site saying it's false is spin doctoring PR for TNA mgmt sources. 9:23 AM - 29 Sep 2016 76 76 Retweets 75 75 likes

www.pwinsider.com/article/105028/tna-notes.html?p=1TNA NOTES By Mike Johnson on 2016-09-29 18:40:00 The number one email question we have received today is whether there were any changes or resolution when it comes to the TNA ownership situation. As of the end of business today, we are told that answer is no. There were no major changes (or to the best of my knowledge, even major meetings) and everyone we have spoken to claims things are going forward with the company heading to Orlando, Florida this weekend. One would think that if anything major is going to happen, it would have to happen tomorrow as everyone is scheduled to fly to Orlando starting Saturday. In regard to those asking about WWE buying TNA, while there was communication (sparked on TNA's end according to a WWE source) that started last Thursday or Friday, those conversations are not currently ongoing. The belief among one person I spoke to was that if WWE decides they want to acquire TNA's footage, they could wait until "the time was right" to get it at the right price. Billy Corgan mentioned this morning at ESPN that it did not appear WWE was looking to buy the company as far as he knew, and he would have to be informed as minority owner. If things go forward with the Bound for Glory PPV and TV tapings, the next question will be how everyone co-exists given all the jockeying for position and power in recent weeks. I noted this last night, but in regard to rumors that booked talents have been canceled off the PPV and/or TV, that is incorrect. Flights were booked weeks ago and paid for by the company. There have been no major changes to plans for the Bound for Glory PPV and beyond other than potential "Plan B" type of discussions should Drew Galloway, who revealed on 9/22 that he was dealing with an injury issue, not be cleared to wrestle Aron Rex.

www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2016/0929/617946/more-on-wwe-buying-tna/More On WWE Buying TNA As noted, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer that WWE was back "out of the picture" in regards to buying TNA. According to a report from Anthony DiMoro at Forbes, WWE is still involved in negotiations and believes that they "are in a confident buyer's stance." It noted that WWE was comfortable letting the situation play out because they know the pressure that TNA is under. "I am told that WWE believes that a deal may come down to the final minutes and they are comfortable closing a deal in that scenario," DiMoro wrote. "They also are comfortable letting TNA move forward with their PPV this weekend and TV tapings next week, if they can somehow find the funding."
