The Gorilla turned internet meme isn't on Pottermore.
Before Harry Potter fans start eagerly taking the Patronus quiz that launched Thursday on pottermore.com, J.K. Rowling wants to make it known that no one will be getting Harambe as a quiz result.
Pottermore got Potter readers into a frenzy of excitement when it unveiled the Patronus "experience" online, allowing users to discover their inner spirit animal, described as "a guardian which acts as a shield" between wizards and Dementors in Rowling's books.
Celebrating the site's launch, the author received mixed reactions when she jokingly retweeted an altered image from a comedy Twitter account of Harambe — the gorilla who was killed in May after a child fell into the animal's enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo — as a user's Patronus.
"Too soon," the account tweeted at Rowling along with the digitally manipulated image.

"I've been asked to make it clear that Harambe is not a Patronus you can actually get on @pottermore. The previous RT is a joke. As you were," she wrote on Twitter in response to fan questions, adding that she thought the joke was "very funny."

Though Harambe, who has become a frequent target of internet memes since his death sparked public outrage, isn't an option on the quiz, users have been sharing other results via Twitter, causing #ExpectoPatronum to trend online.

... and found that it had changed (which, as we know, can happen). My new Patronus has personal associations and I like it even better...
