It stars Russian music star Dima Bilan, who was in Cannes to launch the pic on May 13, Svetalana Ivanova, Alexandr Baluyev and Julia Presil’d. Script is penned by Olga Pogodina-Kuzmina and Natalia Doroshkevich and is directed by Yuriy Vasil’yev. Story sees Russian nobleman Andrey fall in love with a beautiful princess but bloodshed and tragedy soon intervenes when Russia enters the WWI and he joins the army to fight for his country. A century later, in a parallel universe, the star-crossed lovers meet again. Pic was the number one film at the Russian box office during the first two weeks of its release in the territory earlier this year. It generated more than $1.54 million in the country across 1,200 screens.
