Joe Dante-Produced Thriller ‘Dark’ Alights At Screen Media
Screen Media has acquired U.S. rights to the Nick Basile-directed Dark, and plans to release the psychological thriller executive produced by Joe Dante later this year. Whitney Able, Alexandra Breckenridge, Michael Eklund and Brendan Sexton III star in the pic, which chronicles one night in the life of a disturbed young woman when she finds herself trapped alone in a loft during the 2003 New York City blackout. Elias wrote the screenplay.
Basile, Elias, Kathryn Belli, David Boulton, Andrea De Liberato and Emanuele Moretti produced the pic. The deal was made by Screen Media’s Seth Needle and Lotus Entertainment’s Daniel Brandt on behalf of the filmmakers.
