TVLine reports Firefly vet Jewel Staite will appear on The CW‘s Legends of Tomorrow in an upcoming episode as Rachel Turner, a “tech genius/roboticist who exists in a future in which technology has an even firmer grip on our lives than it does today.”
Her discoveries could aid Vandal Savage take control of a grim future, so the Legends team must seek her out.
She is also said to be from a long line of inventors, including a recognizable DC Comics name, but it is unclear who that could be. Ted Kord, maybe? Will Magnus? Answers will be forthcoming in the tenth episode of the series, which will feature Staite as Turner.
Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on January 21st.
