Deal takes in Disney Junior, Disney XD, Disney Channel, Disney Cinema, their respective catch-up services, and to-be-launched on-demand edutainment service Disney English. Pact builds on and extends exclusive CanalSat-Disney partnerships dating back to 1997 and continues Canal Plus’ weighty inroad into kids’ demos in France. The four established Disney services represent on their own 42% of 4-14 auds on kids/youth pay TV channels in France and an average 14.4 million 4+ spectators monthly, CanalSat announced Monday in a press release. Offering big Disney and Disney-Pixar features and shorts, plus the Star Wars franchise 22 months after theatrical release, Disney Cinema launched on CanalSat in May.
