Throwback Championship Wrestling is pleased and honored to announce, that we are the newest promotion to enter into the membership of the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) NWA Throwback Championship Wrestling features its weekly Throwback TV show featuring Heavyweight Champion Devin Driscoll, and others including Rob Conway, Shawn Shultz, Tommy Coffey, Shane Williams, "Nature Boy" Paul Lee", The Young Lions, Tate Twins, Scott Cardinal, Tokyo Monster Kahagas and many more.
NWA Throwback's next TV taping takes place, Saturday, November 14th at the House of Pain in Lewisburg, TN, and features Magnus, Devin Driscoll, Rebel, Brittany Love, Tommy Coffey and more.
The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) is the oldest and largest sanctioning body in the history of professional wrestling and its brand is one of the most recognized and respected around the world. Many date the existing NWA Championship back to the days of Frank Gotch, George Hackenschmidt and Farmer Burns, however the NWA in its present form originated in 1948.
Bruce Tharpe assumed leadership and began the long, arduous process of returning the NWA to its former glory. So far his efforts have been extremely successful.
Since taking over the NWA in August of 2012, the membership has undergone almost a complete overhaul. The organization now has a very strong membership worldwide with Licensee Promoters in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Ohio, West Virginia, Louisiana and Arkansas – not to mention international promotions in the England and Australia!
