Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Vubiquity said it will use DETE’s platform to service all of its 500-plus customers, including Warner Bros., integrating the technology with its AnyVu Cloud digital delivery service. With the pact, DETE will be reunited with Darcy Antonellis, the former chief technology officer of Warner Bros. who joined Vubiquity as CEO in January 2014. While at Warners, she led the creation of DETE as the industry’s first digital supply chain system. “DETE was the first technology to transform the way content is managed and delivered,” said Vicky Colf, exec VP and G.M. of Warner Bros. Technology Solutions and Warner Bros. Technical Operations. “Vubiquity has established itself as the leader in digital content management services and delivery,” Colf continued, “and we look forward to our continued work together bringing high-quality digital content to consumers, everywhere they want to view content now and into the future.” There’s another Vubiquity-Warner Bros. connection: Antonellis recruited Michele Edelman, previously a longtime marketing exec at the studio, as executive VP of marketing and communications. Vubiquity’s deal for DETE comes after the company in August announced the acquisition of digital distributor Juice Worldwide, whose 1,500 clients include Apple iTunes, Netflix, Amazon and Google Play.
