Among his tasks, UAMG said, will be “to evaluate and execute new growth initiatives including organic opportunities, acquisitions and investments.” Eide will report to CEO Burnett and COO Brian Edwards. He joins the company from Macquarie, where Eide was a VP in its merchant banking unit, advising and investing in companies across the media, entertainment, technology and telecom sectors. Before that, he was SVP Finance and Operations at product-placement agency Norm Marshall & Associates. “Will brings a fresh perspective on the rapidly changing business of producing and monetizing premium content,” Burnett said in a statement. United Artists Media Group most recently produced the miniseries A.D. The Bible Continues, a follow-up to 2013’s The Bible. NBC said this month that there won’t be a Season 2, but Burnett and Downey are looking for a new home for the show, maybe on a digital channel.
