When it comes to feuding forces in the “Star Wars” Universe, look no further than Han Solo and Boba Fett. Their rivalry is legendary but hasn’t been fully explored — unless the second “Star Wars” anthology film has anything to say about it. Rumors about the focus of the 2018 film — originally set to be directed by Josh Trank (“Chronicle,” “Fantastic Four”) — have been circulating for quite some time now, with the most prevalent being a focus on either the galaxy’s most dangerous bounty hunter Boba Fett or swashbuckling smuggler Han Solo. However, a new rumor from Schmoes Knows pegs both fan-favorite characters as the focus of the film. Similar to how the upcoming “Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One” takes place between films from the original trilogy, rumor has it the upcoming second film will take place between “Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith” and “Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope” and finally explore the long-standing conflict between Fett and Solo. Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian and Bossk are also rumored to play key roles in the film. The yet-untitled second “Star Wars Anthology” doesn’t have a director attached since Trank’s recent departure; however, word has it that both Jon Favreau and Matthew Vaughn are circling the highly anticipated project.
