deadline.com/2015/05/grace-and-frankie-renewed-season-2-netflix-1201433210/Comedy series Grace And Frankie has gotten a second season on Netflix. It will debut in 2016. The news was revealed tonight on an FYC panel at the Pacific Design Center that included series co-creators and executive producers Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris, along with series stars Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Martin Sheen. “Let me say, it’s so awesome to do a show on Netflix,” said Kauffman, series co-creator and exec producer, “because two and a half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a tweet about your show, and they call and say, ‘We’d like to do a season two.’ So yes, there is a season two. We have Ted and Miley to thank.” Fonda (Grace) and Tomlin (Frankie) star as two women whose lives are suddenly turned upside down when their husbands reveal they are gay and leave them for each other. Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, they form an unlikely bond to face an uncertain future together and discover a new definition of “family.” Sam Waterston also stars, along with Brooklyn Decker, Ethan Embry, Baron Vaughn and June Diane Raphael. Grace and Frankie is produced by Skydance Television for Netflix. Kauffman exec produces (through her company Okay Goodnight), along with Morris, Paula Weinstein, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross, Fonda and Tomlin.
