Wild Bunch Setting Up Insiders Foreign Sales Unit In LA: Cannes
The French sales-financing-distribution outfit Wild Bunch is hanging a shingle in Los Angeles. The new international sales company Insiders will focus on indie features with budgets above $15 million, according to Wild Bunch co-founder Vincent Maraval. Insiders will work with third party financiers who will have the option of becoming equity owners along with Wild Bunch.
Insiders will serve as as independent sales agent for these financiers, marketing films to foreign distributors around the world. Maraval will be in charge of Insiders, with setup to be finalized in in the coming months.
At the upcoming Cannes Film Market, Insiders will be handling Loving directed by Jeff Nichols and starring Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga, and Flag Day directed by Sean Penn and starring Penn and Dylan Penn. Two other projects will be announced as the market gets underway later this month.
CAA advised Wild Bunch on the Insiders deal. Partners in Insiders will be announced shortly.
