variety.com/2015/tv/news/kurt-vonnegut-cats-cradle-adapted-tv-im-global-1201485074/Kurt Vonnegut’s ‘Cat’s Cradle’ Set for TV Adaptation by IM Global IM Global Television has announced it is developing an adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s 1963 novel “Cat’s Cradle.” The story involves the children of a Nobel laureate physicist who helped develop the atomic bomb and a substance called ice-nine, an alternative structure of water that is solid at room temperature. “Cat’s Cradle” will be developed by Brad Yonover and Elkins Entertainment’s Sandi Love, who will co-exec produce. IM Global Television has also secured rights to the “Darkover” science-fiction book series by Marion Zimmer Bradley (“The Mists of Avalon”). Ilene Kahn Power (“Traffic”) and Elizabeth Stanley will exec produce. The studio is out to buyers with “Den of Thieves,” a crime drama starring Carla Gugino, written by Sebastian Gutierrez and exec produced by Trigger Street’s Dana Brunetti and Kevin Spacey. All 10 episodes of the first season have been written, and Gutierrez is planning to direct. IM Global Television is also developing “1906,” a six-hour miniseries that chronicles the San Francisco earthquake and fire of 1906. David S. Ward will exec produce with director Martin Campbell (“Casino Royale”) and producers Mark R. Harris, Julie Ruthenbeck and Susan Lee Smith.
