www.comicbookresources.com/article/netflix-ratings-numbers-reveal-daredevils-impactThe ratings of Netflix's original series has been one of the most guarded secrets in entertainment industry, but a new report shared with Variety gives insight into just how popular the streaming service's original content -- including "Marvel's Daredevil" -- is with subscribers. The San Diego-based Luth Research has analyzed the viewing habits of 2,500 Netflix subscribers in order to determine how popular programs are on the service. "Daredevil," the first of five Marvel series planned to debut on Netflix, has fared very well with an an estimated 10.7% percent of subscribers having watched at least one episode in the first 11 days following its April 10 debut. Variety does a little math to try and determine how many people tuned in for "Daredevill," stating that if 10.7% of the 40.9 million domestic Netflix subscribers have watched an episode of the series, then that's almost 4.4 million viewers in 11 days. That's a solid number compared to other Netflix originals. The recently unveiled third season of "House of Cards" was watched by 6.5 percent of subscribers in its first month; "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" was watched by 7.3 percent while "Bloodline" has only drawn 2.4 percent. These numbers may not be entirely indicative of how popular each show is, though, as Luth Research only tracks views from those watching Netflix on computers, tablets and smartphones. Shows watched on TVs, either through Internet connections, streaming-media players or gaming consoles, have not been factored into this finding. "Daredevil" has already been renewed for a second season on Netflix, slated for 2016.
