Executive producers include Matthew Justice, Pegg, Dan Cheesbrough, Jenny Borgars, Danny Perkins, Christine Langan and Joe Oppenheimer. Rory Kinnear and Olivia Williams co-star. The film is directed by Ben Palmer from a script by Tess Morris, in which Pegg’s character mistakes a woman (Bell) for his blind date — and she decides to take fate into her own hands and go with it. Bill Bromiley and Ness Saban negotiated the deal on behalf of Saban Films with Aska Yamaguchi of StudioCanal on behalf of the producers. Saban Films launched a year ago and acquired “The Homesman,” which it released with Roadside Attractions. It also bought the U.S. rights to “How to Make Love Like an Englishman,” starring Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba; Philip Martin’s “The Forger,” starring John Travolta; “American Heist,” starring Hayden Christensen, Adrien Brody and Jordana Brewster; and “The Trust,” starring Nicolas Cage.
