The Last Ship became the top cable summer scripted series among the key demo of adults 18-49 and pulled in an average 7.2 million viewers in live-plus-7 when it aired last summer. TNT renewed the series in July, giving it an expanded 13-episode sophomore season. The series is produced by Platinum Dunes with partners Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form executive producing. Co-creators and showrunners Hank Steinberg (Without a Trace) and Steven Kane (The Closer) are also executive producers along with Jack Bender (Lost).
