The series will launch Tuesday, April 7, at 8 p.m. The episodes utilize footage from the Paley Center for Media’s PaleyFest 2013 and PaleyFest 2014 television festivals, and give viewers the chance to hear personal stories from cast members and creative teams. “These dynamic conversations are full of the same energy and creative passion that fuel the most exciting television today,” said SundanceTV president Sarah Barnett, in a prepared statement. “We are very happy to partner with the Paley Center for Media to bring viewers an uncensored look into the minds of the best showrunners and actors at work in TV.” The first season of the series will examine programs including “The Mindy Project,” “Orange Is the New Black,” “Parks & Recreation,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mad Men.” “Behind the Story With the Paley Center” is produced by the Paley Center for Media and Passion Distribution, with Paley Center president and CEO Maureen J. Reidy and executive VP Diane Lewis serving as executive producers. Sundance said the series represents a continued commitment to unscripted storytelling.
