Smart-Grosvenor produced the NPR documentaries “Slave Voices: Things Past Telling” and “Daufuskie: Never Enough Too Soon” and wrote “Thursdays and Every Other Sunday Off: A Domestic Rap.” “Daughters of the Dust” won the best cinematography award at the 1991 Sundance Film Festival and was inducted into the National Film Registry in 2004.
