Like Levi, British-born Kay will play a new character, with Coleman reprising his role from the original series H.R.G. The event series comes from Heroes creator Tim Kring, who executive produces with James Middleton and Peter Elkoff. Matt Shalman is directing the opening episode. Kay, who made his screen acting debut in the 2007 feature Hannibal Rising, had a part in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tide and will next be seen in the indies Flight 42 and Cold Moon. He is repped by Paradigm and Affirmative Entertainment.

Also cast in the 13-episode event series from Heroes creator Tim Kring is Gatlin Green (Finding Cody). A follow-up with a new story and set of characters, said to take place after the events of the original, Heroes Reborn is executive produced by Kring, James Middleton and Peter Elkoff. Details on Guzman and Green’s characters are not being disclosed, but if the circulated breakdowns for the project are any indication, Guzman may be playing a handsome former military guy while Green could be playing a sweet, popular girl. In addition to Coleman and Levi, Guzman and Green join previously cast Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh and Henry Zebrowski. All but Coleman, who is reprising his Noah Bennet role from the original series, play new characters. Matt Shakman is directing the opening episode. In addition to starring opposite Jennifer Lopez in The Boy Next Door, Guzman recurred on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. He has two features coming up, Jem and the Holograms and Richard Linklater’s That’s What I’m Talking About. He is repped by Luber Roklin, CAA and SMGSB. Green, who is coming off a talent deal at Nickelodeon, is repped by CESD and Primary Wave Entertainment.

He joins a cast that includes fellow returning star Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet, and franchise newcomers Zachary Levi, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Robbie Kay, Ryan Guzma, Gatlin Green and Henry Zebrowski. Series creator Tim Kring is also on board. “I’m excited to return to my ‘Heroes’ roots,” Oka, who now co-stars on “Hawaii Five-0,” said in a statement. “Hiro Nakamura was such an inspirational role to play, and I’m hoping the fans will enjoy seeing him back on TV.” “The character of Hiro Nakamura was such a huge part of the first series’ success, and a gigantic fan favorite,” Kring added. “We felt the fans would really love seeing him back in action again.” The 13-episode “Heroes Reborn” will premiere later this year on NBC.

Jimmy Jean-Louis, who played the memory-taking The Haitian on the NBC drama “Heroes,” will be returning to the network’s upcoming follow-up series, Variety has confirmed. He’s the third member of the original cast to join “Heroes Reborn.” NBC has already announced that Jack Coleman (who played the suspicious, bespectacled Noah Bennett) and Masi Oka (who played space-time manipulator Hiro Nakamura) are returning to the cast that also includes newcomers like “Chuck” star Zachary Levi. The 13-episode event series premieres this fall. Creator Tim Kring is exec producing along with James Middleton and Peter Elkoff. The show is produced by Imperative Entertainment, in association with Universal Television. Deadline Hollywood first broke the news of the casting.
